|
To install onClick, double click on the downloaded onClick100e.exe. When the program asks you to specify a folder where onClick is to be installed, specify the desired folder.
When starting up onClick for the first time, connect to the Internet since a site menu will be loaded via the Internet.
When installation is completed, onClick is displayed in the "Program" list of the Start menu. In addition, the onClick icon appears in the folder where it was installed. Moreover, a deLINK button is displayed on the tool bar of Internet Explorer (IE version 5.0 or later).
deLINK menu is also designed to be displayed when the left mouse button is clicked on "Tool (T)" of the menu bar or when the right mouse button is pressed on Internet Explorer).
To uninstall onClick, always make sure to use the "Add or Delete Application" function of the control panel. In addition, only uninstall onClick after first ending onClick and Internet Explorer. |
| Starting, Ending and Pausing |
|
Select onClick from the "Program" list of the Start menu. Alternatively, double click on onClick in the folder where it was installed. When this is done, the icon appears in the task tray in the lower right corner of the screen.
Once you have become familiar with its use, it is recommended to register onClick in "Startup". This will enable onClick to start up automatically whenever Windows is started up.
To end the program, click the icon on the task tray with the right mouse button and select "Exit" from the menu that appears.
To pause the program, click the icon on the task tray with the right mouse button and select "Pause" from the menu that appears. Repeat the procedure to resume the program. |
| Mode Selection (Part 1) |
|
Each time the icon on the task tray is clicked with the left mouse button, the color of the icon alternately changes between blue and red. Red indicates a search that uses the search service selected from the site menu, while blue indicates a site search using estabLINK.
|
| Mode Selection (Part 2) |
|
The selection of "blue" described above can also be performed by clicking the right mouse button on the onClick icon (of either color) of the task tray and then selecting "estabLINK" from the menu that appears. In the case of selecting "Site Menu", additionally proceed to the sub-menu and select a search server. In this state, "Red" is selected for the mode. Furthermore, color icons corresponding to each selection are displayed on the left side of the menu.
 |
| estabLINK |
|
When this mode is selected, a selected character string is sent to the estabLINK server after that character string has been selected and the left mouse button is clicked on that character string. As a result, a site search is performed for the web page currently being viewed.
With the current version, however, the web page currently being viewed must be registered in the estabLINK server.
Furthermore, in the case of jumping outside this registered site, a site search will not be performed if that site is not registered. |
| Site Menu |
|
This is selected when desiring to send a selected character string to a search server other than the estabLINK server. When this is selected, the selected character string is sent to that search server whenever the character string is selected and the left mouse button is clicked on that character string. However, RED must be selected for the icon color for this to be performed. |
| Update to New Site Menu |
|
This updates the list of search servers other than the estabLINK server. Search servers may be added or deleted as a result of updating in this manner. Consequently, it is recommended to confirm the list of search servers with the search sites currently registered on the site menu before updating. |
| Home, Help and Version Information |
|
When Home is selected, the home page of this web page is displayed on the browser.
When Help is selected, this web page (instruction manual) is displayed on the browser. This can be used for confirming the most recent version, OS compatibility, browser compatibility and other information.
In addition, when Version Information is selected, a different window is opened to display information about the onClick version currently being used. |
deLink Button and deLink Menu |
|
When the deLink button on the tool bar of Internet Explorer is pressed, "deLink" is selected from the "Tool (T)" list of the Internet Explorer menu bar (the above functions have been newly added to be compatible with Internet Explorer version 5.0 or later), or when "deLink" is selected from the pop-up menu that appears when the right mouse button is clicked anywhere on the Internet Explorer screen, the page currently being viewed cannot be linked to another page even if the mouse is clicked. Instead, the link is indicated with an underline. As a result, it becomes easier to highlight the character string of the link.
In the case of desiring to disable the link only within a specific frame on a frame page, try selecting "deLink" from the pop-up menu that appears when the right mouse button is clicked in that frame.
When you want to reactivate the link, either press the browser Reload button or return to the page after moving to a different page. |
